Yoga session for Physical and Mental well being of students

2. Brief details of the event highlights: The session was organized in two different phases on 25th & 26th July, 2019. On 25th July, the first session in the morning from 11:00-12:00 was conducted by Dr. Sham Singh from Applied Sciences Dept. and evening session from 3:00-4:00 pm was conducted by President Mr. Gopal Das & his two Yoga Acharyas Mr. Surjeet Singh and Mr. K L Kapoor. Similarly two sessions on 26th July, 2019 were conducted by Dr. Sham Singh.

3. Response of the audience/ learning for the students: All the students felt physically and mentally relaxed. They found the activity very useful to reduce anxiety and stress levels.

6. Learning Outcomes: Students learned the value of fitness with the help of yoga. They also realized that various diseases can be cured with the help of yoga rather than medicine.

7. Expert Narration: Mr. Gopal Das in his speech addressed the students about the fundamentals of fitness by doing Yoga on regular basis. He advised the students not to consume junk food as it deteriorates the health of individuals. He also emphasized on practicing yoga techniques such as Kapalbharti and Pranayam on daily basis for improving the mental and physical strength of the students.
